The heat is on, the floor is in, and we moved in the digital piano last night-  of course we can't find the cord yet!

Missing you all a great deal, and am SO excited to announce that lessons will resume next week, if you are around and able!

Typically, we don't have lessons over holiday break, but because we've missed- well, I just plain MISS YOU!! :)

I hope you have been practicing!  Please review your last lesson this week and we will review it together next week along with some refreshers!

Merry Christmas, my dear ones!  Can't wait to see your shining faces and hear your beautiful music!!

My mom used to sing a song to me when I didn't feel like practicing...

"Practice makes perfect... practice makes perfect... I guess if I practice the better I'll be..."

Remember- you only get out of something what you put into it!  

Come up with a practice plan...  Plan your work- work your plan!  If you make a plan to practice, the more likely it is that it will happen!  Ask yourself these questions..

1-When do I like practicing the most?

2-When do I do my best practicing?

3-Where do I have time that I could squeeze more practice time in?  Before bed?  Before school? In between commercials during my favorite show?

♪ Remember...  Every minute counts that is spent practicing- even if it is only 5 minutes!♪

There will be a practice log award to the student who logs the most practice hours on the student portal. One award will be handed out at our Christmas carols, cookies & cocoa recital and the Grand Prize will be handed out at the spring recital!

I am taking prize ideas over the next few weeks!  

Also!  Don't forget to answer the music trivia question on the piano! You not only get a prize for answering the question the day of your lesson, but there will be a prize at recital for the student who answers the most trivia questions correctly for that semester!

Gearing up for the fall semester!  For those of you returning, please send me your preferred lesson time and day so you have first chance at placement!  

This year we have added a digital piano, composition software, and computer theory programs on desktop and ipad!  I love changing things up!

Welcome to our new students!  Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.

Current students, please take some time to practice and review last years lessons.  First lesson will be review and assessment!!
