My mom used to sing a song to me when I didn't feel like practicing...

"Practice makes perfect... practice makes perfect... I guess if I practice the better I'll be..."

Remember- you only get out of something what you put into it!  

Come up with a practice plan...  Plan your work- work your plan!  If you make a plan to practice, the more likely it is that it will happen!  Ask yourself these questions..

1-When do I like practicing the most?

2-When do I do my best practicing?

3-Where do I have time that I could squeeze more practice time in?  Before bed?  Before school? In between commercials during my favorite show?

♪ Remember...  Every minute counts that is spent practicing- even if it is only 5 minutes!♪

There will be a practice log award to the student who logs the most practice hours on the student portal. One award will be handed out at our Christmas carols, cookies & cocoa recital and the Grand Prize will be handed out at the spring recital!

I am taking prize ideas over the next few weeks!  

Also!  Don't forget to answer the music trivia question on the piano! You not only get a prize for answering the question the day of your lesson, but there will be a prize at recital for the student who answers the most trivia questions correctly for that semester!
